This weekend we had a great family day together at A Day Out With Thomas.
We travelled to St. Thomas, Ontario to take a ride aboard the famous tank engine.
Despite a bit of rain that fell we had a great time. Harrison was pretty excited to be meeting Thomas.
I am so glad we captured this picture because I don’t want to ever forget his giant smile that day!
There was a whole area set up outside, and an area indoors so in addition to your 25 minute train ride on Thomas there were other activities. Including, a two-bale high hay bale maze, a bubble station, a ballon animal tent, a baby animal petting zoo, Thomas bouncy castles, temporary tattoo area, and “imagination station” where you could colour, draw or stamp. As an event planner, I have to say, the whole event was really well-organized from picking up tickets at will-call, to all the activities, signage, volunteers etc. They even had stroller parking stations, cooling stations (though, we didn’t need it the day we went), and a nursing/baby changing tent. It made for a great day for us!
And then, after no nap and a trip to Grandma and Grampy’s house, we had one tired little Thomas fan on our hands.
